Miss Marple        Murder is Binding

The first book in the Booktown Mystery series, written under my Lorna Barrett pen name, will be published in April 2008.

Who knew the world of used and rare books could be so dangerous? Certainly not Tricia Miles, owner of a mystery bookstore Haven't Got A Clue, who is suspected of killing a fellow bookseller. To prove her innocence, Tricia must track down a murderer, risking everything she holds dear to do it.

The book, set in the fictional village of Stoneham, New Hampshire, also features Tricia's exasperating older sister, Angelica Preston, and her dainty little cat, Miss Marple.

Contest!

There's also a cool contest over at the edgy L.L. Bartlett side of the website!

Thanks for stopping by! You'll note by the date that this contest is over--the lucky winners already have books coming their way!--but stop by again to see what I'll be up to next time!

To celebrate the paperback edition of NOSE FOR TROUBLE, written by my friend Doranna Durgin, I'm giving away two copies of this wonderful cozy mystery. To enter the contest, just fill out the form below. You'll also be signing up to receive infrequent newsletters from Bartlett Books! Rest assured, I will not share your information with any business or other concern.

Good luck! The drawing will be on February 20th, 2007.

Here's a little about the book:

It wasn't your typical Flagstaff, Arizona, sight: a dead man mysteriously drowned in the middle of a drought, sprawled on his failing lawn.

New to the area, veterinarian Dale Kinsall is finding things a little too hot to handle. The body was the second strange murder in this quiet community. Soon vandalism and threatening phone calls have the beleaguered vet wondering if the desert actually was going to be good for his health. With his irrepressible beagle, Sully, by his side, Dale settles into the Foothills Veterinary Clinic, where crazy seems to be the norm. But there's also something sinister afoot, lurking among the wet noses and flying fur, a dangerous mind dropping victims like flies, and challenging Dale to a game where only the winner survives.

The Lucky Winners:
Sallie Bourgeoi
Moira Creamer
Cheryl Stoeser
